An Evening with Fabulous Friends took place once again at the Ritz-Carlton Grande Lakes resort in Lake Buena Vista on February 9th at 6:00 PM. John and Rita Lowndes of Winter Park were chosen as this year's honorees. The event featured Asian-inspired decor and cuisine. In addition, Matsuriza - the Japanese Taiko drum ensemble from Epcot - provided live entertainment. Cocktails, live and silent auctions, and an awards ceremony rounded out the evening.
The first Marilyn Visionary awards were presented to James Seneff, CNL and Clarence Otis, Darden Restaurants. Senator Mel Martinez will be honored at the 2009 event.
